5,000 KM with the NIU NQi GTS: The Good, The Bad, & The Broken Plastics

After passing the 5,000 km milestone on my NIU NQi GTS electric moped, I’m sharing my full, honest long-term review. In this video, I break down what it is actually like to live with this smart electric moped as a daily commuter on the roads of Montreal, Laval, and the South Shore.

From the overnight ban on moped-style e-bikes in Quebec that forced me to get my Class 6D license, to how the suspension handles Montreal’s notorious potholes and orange cones, I cover all the real-world performance metrics.

I also dive deep into real battery range (the difference between theoretical range vs. the 15% eco-mode drop), reliability, maintenance costs, and a wild story about how the NIU GPS tracking app helped me recover my stolen scooter in under two hours.
